Pricing

Upfront pricing, no surprises

Every job is different, so we price it properly. Here is exactly how that works and what affects the cost.

How it works

From enquiry to agreed price

01

Tell us about the job

Call, text photos or send the quote form. Photos of the switchboard, meter box or notice help a lot.

02

We assess it

Simple jobs can often be priced from photos. Level 2 and larger jobs usually need a quick site check first.

03

You get a written price

A clear quote showing what is included. Nothing starts until you agree to it.

04

No surprise extras

If we uncover something unexpected, we stop, explain it, and you decide before any extra work.

What affects the price

The main cost factors

Solar and battery

  • System size, and the panel and inverter you choose
  • Roof type, pitch and height, and how much of it is usable
  • Whether the switchboard or consumer mains need upgrading first
  • Battery capacity, and whether you want backup circuits in a blackout
  • What the federal and NSW incentives take off, which changes through the year
  • Single-phase or three-phase supply

Level 2 and service work

  • Overhead or underground service, and how far it runs
  • Trenching, boring or conduit work
  • Whether a planned outage must be booked with the network
  • Condition of the point of attachment and meter box
  • Private pole material and site access

Switchboards and supply upgrades

  • Number of circuits and safety switches needed
  • Single-phase or three-phase
  • Whether consumer mains also need upgrading
  • Asbestos-backed panels that must be removed
  • Relocating the meter box or switchboard

Repairs and general electrical

  • Time to find the fault
  • Access in ceilings, walls and under floors
  • Fittings and materials you choose
  • Number of points or lights
  • Whether work can be grouped into one visit
Questions

Pricing FAQs

Can you give me a price over the phone?

For simple jobs, often yes, especially if you text photos. For Level 2 work and larger jobs we will usually need to see the site first so the quote is accurate and does not change later.

Why do Level 2 jobs cost more than regular electrical work?

Network-side work needs Level 2 accreditation, extra safety procedures, specialised equipment, and paperwork lodged with the network operator. It is also work that must be done exactly right.

Do I pay extra for the compliance certificate?

No. Issuing a Certificate of Compliance for Electrical Work is part of doing the job properly and is included.
