An EV charger is the largest single load most homes ever add. Installed without a proper load assessment it trips breakers, overloads old switchboards and charges slowly. We do the calculations first.
We check your existing supply, switchboard capacity and cable runs, then recommend a charger that suits the car, the parking spot and the supply you have. Where more capacity is needed we can upgrade the consumer mains or move you to three phase ourselves, as a Level 2 accredited contractor.
If you have solar, or are installing it, we can set the charger up to prioritise your own generation so the car charges on sunlight rather than grid power during the day.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need three-phase power for an EV charger?
Not usually. A 7 kW single-phase charger adds enough range overnight for most drivers. Three phase makes sense for high-kilometre drivers, two EVs or where you already have three-phase supply.
Can the charger run off my solar?
Yes, with a charger that supports solar diversion or load management. We set it up so surplus solar goes to the car instead of being exported cheaply.
